Bristles offers Canvas  or  Pottery Birthday Parties

Canvas Birthday Parties:  

Cost: $12 per child, plus $50 facility fee. (must have 8 to have an in-studio party... if you are wanting a paint party for less than 8 kids, we offer an at home party pail, click on that page for more info.). If you have less than 8 painters at your party, we will still have to charge for the minimum amount of 8.

Parties last 1 and a half hours.

  • We will sketch out a design you choose on each canvas and lead the guests through the painting, step-by-step. We provide aprons too! Look through our gallery to choose an image, and call the studio at 601-450-2787 to book a party. We do not book birthday parties over social media inbox or email inbox. You must call the studio to book the party, we will then charge the $50 facility fee to hold your spot on the calendar. If you call the studio and get the answering machine, just leave a message! Ms. Lissa is a high school art teacher during the school day, so she heads to Bristles for after school hours, and someone will return your call. Our normal weekly hours during the school year is M, Tue, Thurs 4:00-6:00. You will get a return call during those times. If during summer time, it may be during one of our camps, and that schedule is on our summer camp page.

  • Cost: $50 deposit for hour and half party. Plus $12 for each child that attends. Important: you must have 8 guests to host a birthday party, and we can seat up to 18 guests comfortably. If less than 8 guests attend, you will be required to pay for 8.

  • When you call to book your party, you will be asked the date, time, and what type of party you are wanting (canvas or pottery). If a canvas party, we will need to know which design you chose from this website. We cannot come up with a custom design unless given 3 weeks notice and we will decide if it is a design that is actually doable for children to complete in about an hour!

  • We DO NOT provide food items, but you are allowed to bring in whatever cake, food, decorations you want. We have one table set aside for food if you wish to use it (4ft long). Don't forget a tablecloth, paper products, and cake cutter! As far as decor goes, we have a pretty cute studio! No need to decorate! Most people just decorate their food table, and call it a day!

  • How to Book Your Party: Call the studio at 450-2787 to pick a date and time for your hour and half party. (you must have 8 painters) Choose what you want your child and guests to paint. Everyone needs to paint the same image, unless you offer separate image for different genders/interests. Once we put you on the calendar, you will have to come in and pay the $50 facility fee to hold the spot, or we will email you an invoice that allows you to pay via a link. The $12 per child is due at the time of the party, once we know how many painters showed up!

Pottery Birthday Parties:

  • For pottery parties, guests are allowed to choose from a wide range of banks, figurines, and boxes. Once the party is over, we will have to keep the items to be fired in the kiln, and the birthday family is responsible for picking the items up later and distributing to the guests. We will not hand out pottery to guests from our studio, it has to go through the birthday family.

  • Cost: $50 deposit for hour and half party. Plus $12 for each child that attends. Important: you must have 8 guests to host a birthday party, and we can seat up to 18 guests comfortably. If less than 8 guests attend, you will be required to pay for 8.

    • Parties that go over an hour and half will be charged additional fees.

    • We have one "food/cake" table that you can use for your food items. Don't forget paper products and a table cloth for the food display (4 ft long table) You are allowed to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled party time to set up food and decor on table.

    • Don't invite more than 18 guests, because we can't seat more than 18 painters! Parents usually say they have a great turnout at our parties!

    • We provide all of the paint supplies and aprons, you provide all of the food, paper products, drinks, etc. We do not have a refrigerator, so bring an ice chest if you need to!

    • We paint first, then hand the "party" part over to the parent near the last thirty minutes of the party for cake, food, and presents. We usually use that time to outline the artwork.

    • You may order food to be delivered to the studio if you wish. The food part usually comes about an hour into the party.

    • Some parents decorate for their parties, but most don't! We have a very colorful and inspiring atmosphere, so there is no need to decorate! The whole point is for this to be a fun event for you child and their friends! And they will take home a painting as a favor.

This is what the party table will look like.  Bring in your own table cloth if you like!  You can do a lot of decor or a little of decor... its up to you!!  We don't have a freezer, so bring an ice chest if you need one.

Our Birthday Party Pottery is a wild assortment of figurines, boxes, banks, mugs, and more! When your guests arrive, they each pick out the piece they want… it won’t me the entire group doing the same pottery piece!
